The sole reason behind proving your language proficiency to the Immigration Department with an IELTS score is that you are capable of communicating in a professional atmosphere in a foreign country. It also enhances your career opportunities as language is a valuable factor for any organization.
The IELTS score is used as a part of the application process for Permanent Residence. Government departments use the English language score as a selection process as it convinces the authorities that the candidate can blend easily into the foreign environment. Therefore, IELTS is a prerequisite for smooth application processing.
